The Christmas Tradition in the Philippines

It's 23 days till Christmas. I am glad that things are over the top in the Philippines.
Everywhere there are lights, carolers, decorated windows with their parols, bells, fake
snowflakes (as we don't have snow in the Philippines) and Christmas tree ornaments
in every size and colors and the most important of all, the smiles that are glued in
everyone's faces despite the Christmas traffic rush.

Families are reunited and complete for the Noche Buena after attending the simbang gabi on
midnight of the 25th after which everyone gather to the table and thank the good Lord for
the gift of Christmas, Family and Food. This is how Filipinos celebrate Christmas Eve. :)

The Filipino smile on their faces and the popular parol hanged in their windows.

A libation feast during Noche Buena. Food will never be complete without
 famous bribingka and puto bungbong.

My Morning Coffee

Waking up 30 minutes ahead of other is the right time to pay yourself first.

After doing my daily rituals, I indulge myself with a hot cup of coffee and meditate on beautiful things as I listen to the silence of the early morning.

For A Relaxing Night Sleep

I always look forward at the end of the day for a relaxing night sleep.

Here are some tips I can share with you. Everyday at 6 o'clock in the evening. I start preparing my rituals on scents. I use scented candles, pot pourri and linen spray, but wait, avoid  sensory overload. My favorite scents are lavender, rosemary eucalyptus and wood. They are all good for me. You can also choose your favorite scent, but be sure that they are relaxing keep a mix of different kinds of smells and reflect your different moods to create a satisfying, relaxing and calm night sleep. Lastly, after a hot shower, grab a cup of camomile tea before bed.
